disclosedJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced DevOps
Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a
critical role in managing and enhancing our services
infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background
in virtualization, extensive experience with VoIP systems, and a
passion for ensuring high availability, scalability, and security
of our services. At times, the ideal candidate will also be
required to support our customer support staff during heavier call
loads or when more challenging issues arise.Duties
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement
solutions to optimize service delivery.
- Manage and maintain SIP servers and related VoIP infrastructure
components.
- Utilize Proxmox for virtualization management and
optimization.
- Manage and optimize our VoIP platform.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best
practices.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure
VoIP infrastructure.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and management of VoIP
services using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Collaborate with software developers to streamline and enhance
the CI/CD pipeline.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems
and processes.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to customers for
more complex VoIP issues.
- Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies
to ensure our infrastructure remains cutting-edge.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps engineering
- Experience managing a VoIP infrastructure
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or
Perl
- Experience with Ansible configuration management tool
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools
(e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with SIP, RTP and other VoIP protocols.
- Experience with Proxmox or other virtualization platforms
- Experience with the Kazoo VoIP platform
- Strong knowledge and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP,
Azure) and hybrid cloud environments
- Solid understanding of networking principles and protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under
pressure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Highly independent
- Passionate about technologyPreferred Qualifications
- Experience with VoIP monitoring and troubleshooting tools
(e.g., Wireshark, sngrep)
- Knowledge of telecom-related compliance and regulatory
requirements in the United States
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified
DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
- Proficiency in incident management, incident recovery, and
incident response strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under
pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with
