Product Engineer to join our IT team. This position will be

Code: 33027What You'll Do
- Collaborate with marine safety personnel to understand the
unique operational challenges and requirements of shipboard
security
- Design, test, and deploy bodycam software applications that are
resilient to harsh marine conditions and provide real-time
monitoring capabilities
- Work closely with the IT department to ensure seamless
integration of bodycam data into the ship's existing security
infrastructure
- Provide training to the ship's crew on the proper use and
maintenance of bodycam equipment
- Develop protocols for the secure storage and handling of
bodycam footage, ensuring compliance with maritime privacy and data
protection regulations
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure the bodycam
application's performance and security are maintained at the
highest standards
- Serve as a technical liaison between ship personnel, company
executives, and external vendors to facilitate continuous
improvement of the bodycam systemWhat You'll NeedRequired:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
or related field; maritime studies a plus
- Proven experience in application development, with a preference
for candidates with security systems background
- Strong understanding of hardware and software requirements for
bodycam technology in marine applications
- Familiarity with maritime law, privacy issues, and data
protection standards pertinent to surveillance and security
operations at sea
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to perform
under pressure in a dynamic, sea-going environment
- Excellent communication skills for effective training and
support of diverse shipboard personnel
- Availability for travel and potential on-board stays to oversee
implementation and provide hands-on supportPhysical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job
functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and
local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary
most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to
